All residents are encouraged to attend. Since the meeting will be a working session of council and the staff, there will be no public comment.
The city's website has an official announcement of the meeting to be held on the first floor conference room of City Hall: http://www.ashevillenc.gov/The following is an email Tyler received from Chris Pelly describing the reasons for the meeting:

Dear Tyler,
Greetings to you and your neighbors in the Hills of Beaverdam. Would you be kind enough to share this message with your neighbors.
At Mayor Bellamy's suggestion, city council will conduct a work session on the proposed dog park Tuesday, Sept. 10th at 4pm. A work session is an opportunity to converse with staff about issues related to the proposed park. Mayor Bellamy noted this issue is generating a fair amount of e-mail traffic to council members, including questions and statements about the likely impact on traffic and the water quality of Beaverdam Creek. A work session is designed to provide council members the information needed to make informed decisions. A work session is not a public hearing but the public is welcome to attend and observe. I believe the meeting will take place in the first floor north conference room of City Hall.
Thank you,
Chris Pelly,
Asheville City Council
Also note there is a Sept 9th meeting at 7 pm of the Friends of the North Asheville Dog Park at the Animal Hospital of North Asheville.
