  1. Great Online Petition! Maybe we should have a written petition signed by all of the residents in the area as well.

    1. We, as home owners in Asheville in general, Beaverdam, Wild Cherry, Woodbury, Gibson, Meadowview and Lakeview Park specifically, are in total support of that or any petition against the dog park.

Why do we have to have a dog park on an already crazy, busy and burdened Beaverdam Road? Not to mention, being slammed up against a major water source supplying a spectacular asset to the City of Asheville, our surrounding neighbors as well as tourists = Beaver Lake.

I prefer not to remain anonymous, but because of the "politically correctness" of this predominately Democratic community with an apparent sense of entitlement, must.

Very sad that the sense of entitlement and social programs make it such that property owners no longer have rights.

I am not an activist because I work hard to support myself and have little time to be so; however, the owners of real estate in Beaverdam, Wild Cherry and Lakeview Park (who OWN Beaver Lake and pay for every bit of it's maintenance with NO HELP from the City) will be (Beaverdam and Wild Cherry/Gibson/Woodbury/Meadowview) or potentially be (Lakeview Park) negatively impacted by this dog park.

Home or land owners have rights too. I LOVE dogs and cats, but as a responsible pet owner, I choose not to harm others. Is no one thinking outside the box? Are our City representatives not thinking or caring for others? Chris Pelly, let's put it in Haw Creek on the corner or your property.

If our lake is impacted by algae blossoms due to excessive animal urine we will no longer have a lake. We have a park. Mind you that would save all of us in Lakeview Park money; however, that Lake is an invaluable asset to all of us in Asheville, regardless of political affiliation or dog ownership.

Yes, I'll sign and volunteer to knock on doors to get others to do the same.
