Sadly, lot's of people are not aware of the reality of this issue.
It will negatively impact our traffic, sweet Beaverdam Community and in the long run, possibly Beaver Lake. Please speak up. Dogs, cats and all pets are a wonderful thing, but personal real estate property rights are being ignored.
What's really scary is the potential (no one can prove, only time will tell) run-off of urine that could impact the valuable North Asheville asset of Beaver Lake. Paid for exclusively by those wonderful homeowners' of Lakeview Park, if that dog park impacts our lake and causes it's destruction due to algae growth we will end up with a large privately owned park rather than a beautiful lake. Eventually, maybe a new subdivision?
Can we PLEASE pause for just a moment and think beyond those individuals that don't own property and want a dog park in an area of those who do? Who is supporting this City? Dog owners or land owners?
